This is our story. Jeni and Amanda met in High School. We
were always together, sat at “our table” and often time stood, laid, wrote on
“our table” (white out pens FTW!). High School was a wild and crazy time, even
though we never broke the law (technically), never beat anyone up (really) and
spent a lot of time dreaming about life… Jeni moved between our Junior and
Senior year in High School, lost contact and years later (10 to be exact) rediscovered each
other on Facebook.
Now, almost two years later, we chat daily, text constantly
and we are sure our husbands’ are tired of hearing the others’ names… oh, did I
mention we live over 3000 miles apart? One in California and one in Alabama.
3000 miles over which we support each other through awful Waffle House visits
and horrible diets, fights with the spouses and children frustrations and even
a few “let’s agree to disagree” topics. Welcome to our blog, stay awhile… you
NEVER know what will happen next!
"A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit
dries up the bones." Proverbs 17:22

My name is Jeni and I live in San Diego, California. Don't hate me 'cause my
weather is better than yours. My family currently consists of my active duty
Navy husband, a handsome step-son, my beautiful daughter, and my sweet as pie
son – who are currently going by the names of Doctor, Merida and Bear (seriously – you can't make this stuff up) . And to ice the
cake up a bit – they are all under the age of 5. It is complete chaos in my
home. I work full time also, so it is exhausting but the most rewarding thing I
have done in my life.My marriage mentor (Amanda) and Eastlake Church helped teach me how to stay married – and happy (who knew?!). I am a proud member of the Cult of Mac and I am constantly modifying my zombie escape plan.

My name is Amanda, I'm the Alabama half of this blog. You'll hear me talk about my law enforcement husband (HimSelph) and two gifted boys (A & B) who rule my world. I'm the only female in my house and I'd like to say I am the "HerSelph, the Queen" but sometimes I actually feel like the "Royal Maid"...
Himselph and I have a fabulous love story, which I may share one day, but it includes years of knowing each other and a hill in Mexico. I love to do crafts (of which only half work) and Jeni has to hear about them all!
I'm a devout Christian and may express these beliefs on the blog, I won't apologize. I'm also a food addict (which it doesn't help that my husband could out cook Paula Deen...) and I'm an avid reader. And contrary to popular opinion, I bathe daily (with soap).
